Sasha Azevedo was born May 20 in San Diego, California, where her father was active in the Navy, and later transferred to her hometown
of Charleston, South Carolina. She is the middle child between two brothers.
Performing began at a young age for Sasha through competitive sports, gymnastics, cheerleading, and baton twirling.
For several years, Sasha was a regular in many local and regional parades, festivals, and events including the Coastal Carolina Fair and the Hollywood Halloween Extravaganza.
She loved putting on a show, but behind it all, she struggled to live a normal life. For almost twenty (20) years, Sasha suffered from epilepsy — a seizure condition
that nearly killed her, twice as a teenager, and again, at 21. In December 1999, she underwent a dramatic surgery that would change her life forever,
completely eliminating the seizures, and allowing her the freedom and independence that she'd been held back from for so many years.
Her operation quickly drew public interest and it wasn't long before she would become a published medical success story.

Following this milestone, Sasha's life took a whole new direction and a whole new meaning. At 23, she began driving for the first time,
and at 24, she sparked an interest in showbusiness after auditioning for an independent film in which she earned her first role as a supporting actor.
Shortly after, she was featured in The Notebook,
followed by a 2-year stint as a magician's assistant aboard Princess & Norwegian Cruises. Post-cruise ship entertainment, she worked on the sets of Invincible,
The Blue-Eyed Six documentary,
and the hit television series, Army Wives.
Her theatrical experience includes the musical Damn Yankees!, Tick Tock, and Imogene's Wash & Go Beauty Shop.
In her early teens, Sasha trained through a professional modeling school. She's established in many areas of modeling
including editorial, fitness, hair, body parts, runway, and promotions. She has worked numerous trade shows and conventions,
as well as events including Nascar, MTV, Live8, The Superbowl, Wild on! E!, Harley Davidson, and Hotties & Hunks Reality TV.
She can also be seen featured in international hair magazines, professional salon books, educational hair DVD's, hair shows, and hair workshops.
Sasha presently works full-time, but outside of her regular job, she's a freelance photographer, an avid runner, a workout guru, a model, and an entertainer.
Far beyond her skills, talent and experience, she's an inspiration to many and her story continues to touch hearts and lives throughout the world. ■ |
